After the excitement of achieving the grades you need and getting the place at University you want it is then time to turn your attention to where you are going to live when you go there. If you are moving away from home for the first time you do want to be sure that you have everything in place. This is just a quick guide to what types there are. Student Accommodation Cheltenham or anywhere else with a uni in it is varied. Even if you’re going to a local Uni it might be an idea to look at living away if only for the experience.
- Halls of residence. For your first year you are usually covered with a place in one of the Universities many Halls. This usually takes the form of a one bedroom room with a desk and an ensuite bathroom and or shower. Cooking and laundry areas are usually communal. In some case you might find that you are sharing with another person of the same sex as a roomate.
- Student houses. In these cases these are communal homes owned by the University. These are multi bedroom properties that have shared spaces like kitchen and bathroom. These are usually for second and third years.
- Private rent’s. You will hopefully have made some solid friends by the end of the first year and you could move in with fellow students. Some landlords are set up for this specifically.
